Most of us fish heavily pressured lakes, if not we probably
have a tough lake in the area that we will eventually have
to fish. Approaching these lakes begins, continues, and ends
with your attitude. Without a proper mindset no tip, $3000
sonar unit, or $1200 combo can
help you. You can't make yourself think something you have
to actually believe it. So telling yourself, I will catch
fish in this WATCH ME!, will not mask over your doubts. So
now four steps on how to mentally prepare for these lakes, I
call F2G2
1. Find out what everyone is throwing and trash it. If
everyone is throwing a 4.5 inch shaky head, through a 7 inch
or vice verse. Or go with a t-rigged ribbon tail, or
creature bait.
2. Find 2-3 spots max and fish them for all its worth.
3. Get everything taken care of the night before, i.e. rods
and reels, boat, gas.
4. Go fishing and that's it.
If you can get down F2G2 your next trip on that tricky lake
will be much more rewarding!
